A new surveillance video shows the horrific moment a Brazilian model knocked down a 16-year-old boy and ripped off part of his leg.
The footage was recorded from a condominium across from a beach in Rio de Janeiro’s Barra de Tijuca neighborhood and shows João Cardim crossing the street with his mother, Mariana Cardim, last Saturday.
João Cardim rushes to the sidewalk when Bruno Krupp suddenly slams his motorbike into the teenager, knocking him off his feet.
Krupp, who does not have a license to drive a motorcycle, continues to run down the street and at one point crashes to the ground.

The impact of the accident tore off part of João Cardim’s left leg and was recovered on a lawn near the entrance to the beach, where he and his mother planned to walk before returning home after attending at a birthday party.
Cardim was rushed to Lourenco Jorge Municipal Hospital where he died shortly afterwards.
Krupp was hospitalized at the same medical facility and was discharged on Sunday.
However, the social media influencer was admitted for surgery at a hospital in the Rio de Janeiro neighborhood of Méier on Wednesday and was arrested after a judge issued an arrest warrant that charges him with homicide .

Krupp was riding his motorbike without a license and knocked over 16-year-old João Cardim, who died in hospital moments after last Saturday’s accident. “I didn’t drink, I didn’t do drugs. It was an accident, guys,” he said.
Krupp, who underwent surgery to repair a broken collarbone, released a videotaped statement from his hospital bed before the operation, saying it was an “accident” on his part and that he had been ill-treated by the medical staff of the Lourenço Jorge municipal hospital while he waited for treatment.
“I was taken by ambulance, I didn’t run from the hospital, I didn’t run from the doctors,” Krupp said in Portuguese. “I was dying in the hospital, the employees were treating me badly, beating the stretcher in the hallway, calling me a murderer, like I had done something wrong.”
The model has dismissed rumors that he was intoxicated while riding the motorbike.
“I didn’t drink, I didn’t do drugs. It was an accident, guys,” Krupp said.
Krupp was stopped by traffic police just three days before the fatal accident. He refused a breathalyzer test and was summoned for riding a bicycle without a license and for driving a vehicle without a license plate.
Residents and police surround the motorbike that Brazilian model Bruno Krupp was riding when he ran over and killed a teenager in Rio de Janeiro last Saturday. Brazilian network TV Globo reported on Thursday that Krupp had failed a road test required to obtain a motorcycle license.

He bought the bike in May but failed a test drive, Brazilian TV Globo reported.
Before undergoing surgery on Wednesday, Krupp told his lawyer, William Pena, that the bike’s brakes failed as he approached Cardim.
“There was no deception. Nobody leaves the house to kill anybody by getting run over,” Pena told reporters on Thursday. ‘There’s a certain exaggeration in everything they post.
But Krupp reportedly sped past 90 miles per hour before hitting the teenager.
Security cameras stationed at several businesses on Lúcio Costa Avenue showed speeding in the left lane.
“He is known, every weekend he spends here. These noisy motorbikes, they pass through here, sometimes they pass through here, and when you look at it, it’s already far,” a kiosk employee who saw the accident on Saturday told Globo.
